There are quite a few things that I can complain about and less I can praise, but that does not mean that it is a terrible novel. I did enjoy the story overall, but it's not a book I intend to re-read. Would I recommend it from a language learning perspective? Perhaps. I haven't read enough in the genre to be able to say this with 100% certainty, but it feels pretty accessible for a mystery novel and like a decent first read to get familiar with the vocabulary. The language is not that difficult
