Port-au-Prince, 1802. In the Haitian colony, Black people are rising up against the White. Amid this war of liberation, the young Swiss man Gustav encounters Toni, a mulatta and the daughter of the "terrible Negro" Congo Hoango. What follows is a treacherous game of desire and betrayal — one that ends with two gunshots.
