Based on the cover, I was fully expecting for it to be obnoxious, but I found it to be one of the most relatable yuri manga so far: it doesn't really care about its ridiculous setting and imposes the alien world rules whenever it's convenient for the plot to move onwards, while under the hood there is a sense of adventure! Characters, that both are learning to deal with their baggage, and either make up for the lost time and start adventuring, or drop the things holding them down and move on from that.
My favorite thing is that both of the characters appear pretty high functioning and it focuses on doing things, rather that fighting with thoughts in their heads, and the other supporting characters follow the same patterns.
There's some women's wrongs in this one too! I liked how silly this one was!
In terms of the language, partial furigana, sometimes wrong furigana on purpose, sometimes keigo with wrong furigana as well, it's definitely a manga that expects for you to be familiar with the kanji before you read it, there are some differences in the tone and level of politeness between people, probably not a good beginner's manga, but it's fun ^^
