This covers a little under the first half of the novel which it is adapted from. The story has been modernized (the book was written in the 80s) and character details as well as some plot details have been changed. Having read the novel first I'm left wondering if the manga leaves characterizations a bit flat and lacks the air of general mystery nerdiness that the book possesses. オルツィ for example had a pretty interesting internal monologue at one point early in the book which is completely skipp
