A bit of a frustrating book.
So, in case it's not clear to anyone: This isn't a light novel, the girl on the cover is a side character, she's not a space pirate, and the book isn't about space pirates. I spent the first 150 pages waiting for the space pirates to arrive. They did not.
Now, yes, there are some space pirate themes, as the characters blunder into being mistaken for space pirates and roll with it - but if you were getting pulpy-space-pirates vibes from the cover, I assure you there
