Recommended for intermediate Japanese learners
A pretty straightforward book explaining Japanese cultural concepts and related vocabulary. It's clearly written for non-native speakers, but enough of a challenge that it might be a useful off-ramp for someone from graded readers into the world of Japanese non-fiction. It tends a bit into 日本人論 a bit at times, but not enough to totally turn me off.
The 「もっと深く」sections were nice, but would be a major challenge for someone who is at-level for the standard sections of each chapter. On the other h
