A sad story of two women living their lives right next to one another, but the society making them unable to connect to one another: the main theme of the manga seems to be wanting to be somewhere else and there's a lot of yearning involved.
I found myself really sorry for the main characters in this story and the meandering bits felt pretty difficult to get through, less because of language, more because of rawness.
Aside from the father, there are no men in this story, but they're very heavily implied as being the source of suffering.
