The story of a talking cat that helps out at a 겅비실. Mostly, you get one main event per chapter, but there is a repetitive nature to it, which makes it less interesting but easier to understand for language learners. The last chapter even features a recap of what happened previously, so it really feels like this was written with language learners in mind.
Vocab sticks to relatively common words, although there is a fair amount of onomatopeia used throughout the book. As for grammar, the grammar points themselves are beginner/intermediate, but sentences can vary in complexity. It doesn't get too crazy either however.
One of my favorite sentences from the book: 집고양이는 나이를 먹을수록 애교가 늘고, 길고양이는 나이를 먹을수록 눈치가 늘지.
