This books is slow - on purpose. It's a collection of loosely connected short stories that all have death as a theme (particularly death from cancer).
Saying I enjoyed this book feels weird, but I enjoyed the reading experience? I tried it as audiobook-only first, but with all the introspection and reminiscing of past times, I got a bit lost as to who was where doing what.. switching to a hybrid with the ebook was the way to go for me.
