I'm working through this series in Audible, read by Carlos Ponce. If anyone is interested in practising their auditory comprehension, I can recommend this series. Having read the books previously (in English), I am able to follow the story, if not every word. It was challenging at the beginning, but by the second half of the first book, I found myself understanding almost everything without massive effort.
Most will know what they're getting here - the first Harry Potter book full of its usual fun and wonder. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Carlos Ponce, and unfortunately did not enjoy him as a narrator; his range of voices did not impress, and it sometimes felt like they stripped out pauses between sentences or paragraph breaks.
Other than that, the book is both good for those already familiar with the story, as you can skate by with that foundation, and for those looking to diversify th
