Overall I did not like this book as much as カラスの親指 or カエルの小指 by the same author. Those books have flawed but likeable characters, whereas almost no one in Skeleton Key is sympathetic. There are some twists but they feel cliché. The action was kind of fun but ultimately, I was happy when it was over.
