This book is the first book in the Japanese translation of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I have to start this out by saying that the English version of this book is a lot better, and sadly this version has lost a lot of its charm in translation. That's not to say that it's not a worthwhile read, but I took off a star as I would have given the English an easy 5/5.
