(2.85/5)This book was a solid 'Meh'.
Felt very 中二病, took a long time to build up to anything interesting, main character felt endlessly wafflely about things I find obvious because he's in middle school and I'm probably too old to be a good audience for this book. Mildly useful from a vocab and grammar point of view.

A Monster of Missed Potential
I just finished reading it and honestly, it was painful.
Despite an intriguing premise, nothing really happens. The story drags on, repeating the same beats without ever developing its ideas. You keep waiting for a big revelation or a mystery to be solved, but that moment never comes.
The main character is flat and unlikable, which made it even harder to stay invested.
Overall, it felt like a lot of atmosphere with no payoff. I’d strongly recommend skipping this one.
