Weird but enjoyable
There are definitely some weird twists to this story, but in a way that makes you want to keep reading.

For computer science geeks and smokers?
The book caught my attention just from the weird english-japanese double title alone and made me wonder what it was to going to be about. That puzzlement continued for a while as the book drew me into its bizzare mystery. The mystery itself was well crafted and I enjoyed the various twists and layers to it, but it also suffers from a very slow and sloggish middle section that just feels like you are going in circles trying to solve this seemingly "impossible" mystery. Some of the characters are also chronic smokers considering how many times I had to read the sentence "he/she smoked tobacco" lol As for language learning and difficulty, there is a bunch of computer science related vocabulary and explanations which were fun, but it can get a bit complicated at times and raise the comprehension difficulty of some passages (especially if you aren't familar with the cs terminology in general). Otherwise, most of the book was fairly straight forward to read and didn't pose too big of a challenge. A solid start to a series and makes me want to check out the rest.
