(3.50/5)I never came to like this book that much, because while it is Slice of Life, and I tend to like that well enough, I never liked the main character at any point. I always found him somewhat irritating, even as he developed as a person. That said, the book also had a somewhat light novely feel to me, so I suspect if you like LNs and SoL, this may be a good book for you if you're wanting something featuring older (20s-40s) characters and don't mind the MC.
I only listened to the audiobook and do not own the text, but this was quite easy to listen to having very little in the way of specialized vocabulary. Grammar wise it was standard, nothing particularly flowery. The audiobook production quality was good, there is a single narrator who does distinct and recognizable voices, and there are no sound effects that I recall.
SOL on the heavier side with BL vibes
Highly recommend the audiobook. I thought it had multiple narrators but it's all 1 dude. Very well done.
The story starts with our MC being kicked out of their home by his wife because she wants a divorce. He ends up staying in a share house and he gets to know the other inhabitants while he is trying to win back his wife. But not everything seems to be as it appears on the surface.

This is not BL but 2 characters from the author's 交渉人シリーズ (BL) make an appearance.
A second volume is coming out in 2024.
