Plot: The plot is the title. Love the simplicity. That said, the cause of death is being pushed off a cliff, so if you see me reference 'Cliff Husband' in the forums this is the book.
Content warnings: Domestic violence is discussed in detail, as is child abuse (emotional, physical, sexual) although the physical/sexual abuse is not as detailed and mentioned a bit more obliquely.
Language difficulty: This would make a good first book with relatively restrained vocab and standard grammar. That said, some of the oblique references mentioned above might throw a new learner, as will the shifting perspectives/time of the chapters.
Audiobook notes: The recording quality is good, but the voice actress does not have a very wide range for voices and struggles to make a convincing male voice. I didn't mind this too much, but it's something to be aware of if you plan to listen rather than read.
Review: I enjoyed this book a lot. At one point I thought it was dragging a bit and then was hit with a nice plot development right after. The twist at the end also took me by surprise. It's a twist I've seen before, but the execution was good enough to catch me so props to that!
I will say a good deal of this book is frustrating in an amusing way, where I was internally screaming for [plot hole] to be addressed, or [very necessary background info] and yet we were plodding along as if such things didn't need to be tended to. It was maddening and fun at the same time. I expect not everyone will find that to be the case.
If you're looking for a somewhat silly feeling light read and you don't mind the themes warned of above, I say give this a go.
