It took so long to get hooked on the story, but when I did I enjoyed it quite a bit. I am sure it follows rather standard tropes, but I would not call it entirely average.
Art-style might have been crude in the first volume but has gotten so much better towards the end. I am looking forward to any new publications from the little known and new author タダノ なつ.
Manga likes to jump quite a bit, so it is important to spot which parts are from the past and which are present. There are also some deep thoughts which might spike the difficulty curve at times. Other than that the plot is rather straightforward in terms of ease of comprehension.
The beginning is especially sliced up, and it takes a significant part of the whole (finished) piece to get to know the very few characters presented. But when one does, it all falls into place. So much so, that afterwards it leaves an emptiness wanting to be filled — and that's quite on point, if not a little uncomfortable.
I am convinced the author has potential to make 4 and 5 start exceptional manga/illustrations. And I am looking forwards trying them out, hopefully in a not so distant future.
