(4/5)Content warnings: suicide, murder, childhood trauma
As a note, I listened to the audiobook and do not own the text.
This felt very much like a light novel, so if you prefer those over regular novels I'd recommend it. The general plot is a dream research team at a university is investigating deaths associated with nightmares.
The difficulty in this book is largely the stretch of the vocabulary, but also a bit of dialectical speech and fluctuating registers of speech (very casual up to business

To keep this brief:
Story - intersting premise, but underwhelming execution 3/5
Characters - great character dynamics, but some felt better fleshed out than others 4/5
Mystery - great start, weak resolution 3/5
Language - difficult with dialect specific phrases and vocab, a great challenge considering its N1 level 4.5/5
Overall, I would give it 3.5 stars, but you can only give rounded numbers, so it is a very light 4.
