Reviewing for both parts 1 & 2. If you like a fun thriller type novel (think Gone Girl) and want some extensive reading practice then this is for you.
The premise is very attention grabbing (a women's missing husband comes home. but it's not him! but she can't convince anyone of that because the reason she knows it's not him is because she killed him!)
There's a lot of intrigue and mystery, the language was generally super accessable and the chapters were short and snappy. Each part is over 500 pages which makes it quite a long read but perfect for anyone looking to lock in for some extensive reading.
I enjoyed the pull and push between the characters while the MC was trying to figure out who to trust. (The MC was kind of insane but I found it entertaining.) I needed to look up what her job was (selling investment real estate) when she first mentioned it, but beyond that it was very day-to-day vocab.
There is a short epilogue at the end which gave it a very poirot feeling ending which amused me.
