Short stories with a twist, good for learning but that's it.
I couldn't find the stories interesting enough to keep going. Probably because their length, you can not get as invested as with for example 世にも奇妙な商品カタログ, which concept wise, is very similar, although a worse version in my opinion.
Basically they are very short stories with a twist, 2-5 pages. The first volume contains a short introductory manga, and 31 short text stories. After each story there's a page from the "librarian" after each story that gives some insight onto the story you have just

Why can't I grade this item?
Super short stories, the title reads as “really scary stories” but they were anything but. Really not scary at all! That made me feel a bit disappointed as I was looking for some thrill.
They all have a twist at the end, and the “solution” is explained in a page after the story in case you miss it (some are quite subtle).
Language is fairly easy, sometimes very colloquial. It’s ok to read as a light-hearted book with stories of 2-3 pages. Don’t get it if you’re looking for something scary!
