A little boy tells us all about his father's routine, his habits, his hobbies, etc. Since there's no real story, it does just feel like a list, which quickly gets boring. However, if you can tolerate the lack of story, it makes great reading practice. As you can imagine, it includes a lot of everyday topics and uses a lot of common vocabulary and phrases, while also using relatively simple grammar.
