Overall, enjoyed this a lot. It's well-written, has great characters, and plays with some fun science fiction ideas. Was a bit slow in the middle because it turned into clue gathering/mystery solving, but all in all, good stuff.
Difficulty-wise - sentence structure is not always straightforward, and the author has a decent vocabulary, but nothing crazy. There is some technical vocabulary, but for the genre it's not a very technical-focused book. Furigana is plentiful.
