This should have been so incredibly interesting. It's about medical research, a fraud scandal, social issues (primarily sexism in STEM), dysfunctional relationships, a murder-or-suicide plot, and so many good elements. But it just didn't do it for me. The story crept along slowly, the character development was heavy handed, and the dialogue stilted.
