A sweet and generally chill series with 獣耳!
獣の王国 is a sweet series that follows high-school protagonist 雅 (みやび); his father gets remarried one day, and upon meeting his new step-mother and step-brother, learns that not only are they members of a race of beast people, but he also is a rare being called an 癒者 (いしゃ) who can heal beast people at a touch. What follows is a more slice-of-life formula where 雅 meets and makes new friends, usually solving a misunderstanding or convincing the opposing chapter's character to let go of their hostility; 雅's a good example of a main character who's friendly and always willing to see the best in people. It's so far, several volumes in, been a very sugary series.
There's full furigana throughout the series, and besides some more casual high-schooler speech, doesn't have any particular specific vocabulary or grammar to watch out for.
