More of the Same
It's pretty much the same as the first volume without getting stagnant. If you wanted the slice of life and seasons to slowly pass, yep. They do that. If anything did change, it would be even less cats and yet even more reminders that Chion and Gen are cousins.
While this manga somehow has one of the best depictions of the Japanese countryside I've ever seen and very cute cats, the tepid horniness for the main character's own cousin is too off-putting to me. I'm sure it's someone's favorite cup of tea though.
As far as language learning goes, it seems like this volume has less kanji and more mixed kanji and kana words. That might make it more accessible if you had trouble with the first volume.
