(3.04/5)Not my Genre, but recommended for beginners.
On my perspective: I am fluent in Japanese, I work as a translator and occasional give lessons in Japanese. This Manga came up when browsing easy beginners material and ended up as lesson material.
Now to the review.
The strongest quality here is its accessibility for readers that are more at the beginner level. A combination of readability (font size is big, people can read this on whatever devices they wish to) and the convenient use of Furigana for pretty much every Kanji means there are no real hurdles.
Furthermore, the overall topics presented here will be found in a lot of slice of life & romantic comedy (and harem-)works, so if your interests are to be found there, the additional vocabulary you might build up by working through this will be helpful.
As for cons .. well, there are no hard ones. I really believe this Manga is solid for learners, it is absolutely not my favorite genre but the lessons created around it seemed rather enjoyable for the audience.
In regards to the rating, this was incredibly difficult for me. So personally, I did not find it all that enjoyable as I do have a dislike towards the Harem genre. The art was nothing special and I didn't really like the characters. I still stand on my position though that it makes for good material for beginners to go through, reading is just so incredible valuable for learning Japanese.
Difficult to parse, underwhelming story
Story
Despite it's apparent simplicity, I found this manga a lot harder to parse and understand than others around its level (and even higher levels). It's often hard to tell who's speaking, which in a series of 3 characters really shouldn't be the case. The story has a somewhat interesting concept - a reluctantly polyamorous triad working out just how to make that work - but the characters are a bit one-dimensional and overly melodramatic.
Language
I wasn't sure whether to give it a 3 or 4 for language learning. While it can't hurt for language learning, I think it's a poor early manga. I'd instead recommend titles like: はなにあらし (wholesome yuri, very accessible) 、やがて君になる (wholesome yuri)、ふらいんぐうぃっち (wholesome iyashikei, a bit slow paced)、今日から始める幼なじみ (wholesome rom com)、あさがおと加瀬さん (wholesome Yuri, no furigana besides for names, but still accessible).
Interesting begginer book
The story is somewhat enjoyable, Naoya is going out with Saki, Nagisa a junior from his high school ask him out, Naoya can't say no and the story just develop from here with the struggle of a polygamous relationship, other than that it's just your average slice of life rom-com.
The story is quite basic vocabulary wise but it does have some tricky words (at first) mainly 二股関係 which is quite an easy word but something you obviously usually don't see that much, the grammar is around the same level, although the story is quite basic for its genre it still is enjoyable to read and beginner friendly.
I think it could be a great book to read as a first manga to expand one's vocabulary, if you read it for the vocabulary and reading experience it provides as a beginner then it should do its job, if you already have some experience in reading Japanese then it will probably get a bit boring.
