Not the best balance between the adult content and the plot
Writing as of finishing vol 4. Main note - this is a "TL" manga, which is a genre I didn't know existed. Seems like that line between hentai and not-hentai, but for woman.
So the story is shaped as our typical villainess (not isekai), broken engagement and all. Full furigana. The characters don't communicate and put up front, so their relationship is becoming more and more complicated because of it. We do get to some politics, we get to enjoy noble speech and the female lead is pretty confident most of the time (even when she's lost as hell).
Politically though it might be a problem for some as the author seems to think that the right way to go about opposition is executing them even if it means setting some of them up to do stuff they wouldn't do otherwise to have something on them.
To the "TL" part of this. The first volume has way too much sex, in my humble opinion. We start off with her raping her ex fiancee for actually well thought through political reasons and then quite soon we get into his revenge to her taking up the whole volume with sex . Now, the fact that we spend vol 2 and vol 3 doing all the talking/background /setup/logic related to what was going on in vol 1, the author either wanted to start with a bang (ha), or wasn't sure if we really got the point. Volumes 2-4 combined seemed to have less explicit content than the first one, but it can be me misremembering and just feeling like that.
It was a fun and light read for the evening but no more than that.
