The premise sounded interesting (alternate reality Japan where 怪獣s are just a part of life like typhoons and earthquakes, main character in his 30s and part of the clean up team, the unsung heroes who put everything back in order after the actual heroes have killed the monsters), but it sadly went quickly back to standard power fantasy. I only finished volume 1, but the ending of the volume really motivated me to continue reading further so I might purchase the other ones.
The story is quite upbeat and definitely fun to follow. However, it would sometimes maybe be a little better if it was more serious, because it dips way too often into typical 少年 tropes and the genuinely serious moments are discharged to quickly. Mood-wise it's similar to Black Clover - can be serious at times, but in general is not.
