I purposefully was looking for a story by this author because I heard he was similar to Dazai and Sakaguchi, but aside from the themes of this piece being likely to irritate social norm holders of the time, the writing didn't strike me as quite on their level. I'll try the author again, but I'm not in a hurry.
Broadly the tale of a girls fall from grace as the result of her beauty and precocious puberty. It's got a dry humor to it, and I found myself liking the girl.
