This is another one that's gonna be really emotionally hard to read. The first story continues Shimako & Noriko's story. The second is Yoshino and Rei. The third is Yumi and Sachiko. None of them are gonna be easy reads, but the third one (which shares the novel's title) especially, the issue that was foreshadowed between Yumi & Sachiko (and Touko, seemingly an NTR storyline?!) in the previous novel makes its full appearance, and it's every bit as heart-wrenching as you might expect.
In terms of storytelling each story is to some degree retelling the events of the previous story, but also with entirely independent material that still manages to reframe the characters' actions and behaviors, compared to the version you read in the previous story - giving you an entirely new perspective on what was going on, while developing the relationships between each pair in new ways (good and bad).
The story continues into the next volume, and I'm starting it immediately, cuz it's peak drama!
