really wanted to like it but it's so dry and dense to me for some reason and felt like a slog to get through. the show added a lot that wasn't in the manga so it kinda sucks experiencing it as a downgrade. and also the manga can't play music. conversely it's probably better if you go manga > anime if you want to consume both, i just made the unfortunate decision to do the opposite

The first volume of ぼっちざろっく was very enjoyable. Notably, it’s much more focused than the average Manga Time Kirara series. Typically, Manga Time Kirara series have a “theme” (e.g. for ご注文はうさぎですか it’s cafes), but many chapters completely ignore the theme in service of the cgdct aspect. But with ぼっちざろっく, every single chapter (in the first volume at least) has been about the band theme in some way, which is a nice change of pace.

Hard but fun manga
Not a whole lot of music related vocab, but uses alot of weird Buddhist phrases. Def not for beginners. I loved it though.
