(4.75/5)ツボにはまっちゃった
Edit: This review was written based on only the first volume. The series concluded rather abruptly after 3 volumes and I generally enjoyed each less then the one before, though there are still some great moments.
I had a ton of fun reading this book. The comedic timing here is some of the best I've ever seen, and the author pulls out a ton of different art styles for reaction panels. This has become one of my favorite manga and I can't wait for the series to continue.
The story follows an early middle-aged office worker who suddenly transforms into a magical girl while trying to protect a kid from a monster. As you can guess from this premise, the story doesn't take itself too seriously most of the time, but it includes some good characterization even in the first volume.
I can't think of any particularly difficult aspects of this book from a language learning perspective, It uses modern language and the plot is straightforward so it's easy to follow. If you can understand 'contractions' like なんでもない→なんもねぇ, I don't think anything else in this book should give you too much trouble.
