ウィキッド 誰も知らない、もう一つのオズの物語 上

Somewhat interesting, but slow-paced

While the characters are somewhat interesting, there is a lot of slow political and religious world building, and by the 50% mark, still not much plot. I imagine there's enough eventual payoff to make it worth it, but given my reading speed and the amount of lookups, I decided to shelve it. That said there's a lot of interesting vocab and word choices to pick up

Interestingly none of the chapters have been from Elphaba's perspective so far. I also found my comprehension felt a bit insecure, though I also felt like that with some of the English portions I checked. Maybe a stronger reader will have less trouble than I did.

I could see myself maybe coming back to it in JP someday, but I think I'll finish it in English instead.
