(3.25/5)Fun and cute, but an SNS manga first and foremost
A gag manga with the premise of 'what if the shoujo rival character instead had a crush on the protagonist'? The first half of the volume is very SNS-like, with each short chapter ending with the same punchline; it's only in the second half that the story seems to 'reboot' itself and become a bit more contemplative about why exactly the rival feels this way towards the heroine. The language is a good primer for school and shoujo stuff, with many repeat situations and opportunities to internalise some common shoujo trope manga expressions and so on.
You do have to accept a certain level of comedy stupidity, particularly regarding the denseness of the protagonist, but frankly shoujo protagonists of the type this manga is parodying are frequently dense as bricks anyway so I didn't mind it. 月刊少女野崎君 is definitely a higher-quality shoujo parody overall, but this isn't bad, even if it is a bit amateurish.

interesting premise but not that good
The premise is going to be very attractive to some people that are familiar with 少女 or 百合 manga. You have the typical shoujo-manga protagonist with a crush on a boy and her "love-rival" who is mean to her and tries to keep her from gettin close to the boy. But, twist, the rival actually has a huge crush on the protagonist.
The first part (I think most of the first volume) consists of variations of the same gag. Rival comes on strong on protagonist, protagonist misunderstands and thinks rival is in love with the boy. The later parts tries to have more of a plot. At the end the two girls get together.
There are a couple of problems with this manga:
If the premise is interesting to you, you can certainly read this and get a chuckle out of it. But you should approach this with low expectations.
language It's a gog manga with full furigana set in high school.
