This volume is slower-paced than the action-packed first. Shion is living in the West Block now. He has conversations with Nezumi, meets some people from the area, goes out and sees some of it. We learn some hints about recent history. And it ends with a question about what will happen next.

The language difficulty remains the same as volume 1.
