회랑정 살인사건

Maybe more 3.5. Classic Higashino murder mystery in a ‘closed room’ style. Almost reminiscent of 가면산장 살인사건 with a cast of characters I could never remember the relationships of (nor their names but it was fine). There’s a map in the beginning but tbh I didn’t need to reference it.

This one felt…a little to unbelievable to me (the premise itself, not necessarily the end— I mean the whole point is a 30 yr old lady masquerading as a old lady and I just can’t see that fooling people lol).

But if you suspend your disbelief on that point I think it was entertaining! Short at least, at 300 pages and I was able to read it in a few sittings for the 24 hr reading challenge (so it didn’t feel slow moving to me otherwise I’d def have dropped it lmao).

Not the best of Higashino but far from the worst.
