This is definitely a good pick for learners. There's a fast-paced plot that keeps moving from start to finish and the language is quite simple since it's aimed a kids/young teens. There's a small cast of characters including the protagonist/love interest/antagonist and some supporting characters. The worlds both magical and mundane are interestingly described. (google the town the story is set in for some extra cat content)
It's somewhat similar to 또다시 같은 꿈을 꾸었어 which I got recced a lot when I started reading but imo has more interesting characters and a better defined plot which is easier to stick with.
