[DeepL Translation - needs review] Volume 1 Introduction: Yomogi-chan is a girl who loves to cook. She lives with her panda Daifuku in Kanda-so, a slightly old-fashioned but warm house. This is a fairy tale of the mysterious and everyday life that surrounds Daifuku and Yomogi-chan, who is a little quiet, but kind.

Cute story about real life situations
Story was cute easy read with generally easy to understand vocabularly. Some characters speak with regional accents but it was fairly easy to decipher with context.

Just finished reading the whole series. The first few books are cute but fine, but later in the series the characters get more developed. It's always a simple slice of life, but because they go through the year a few times you get to see them celebrate a few Japanese holidays (plus some western ones as well).
For language learning the level is very easy and since there's no furigana, it's a really good series to get practice with that. Since the main characters are kindergarteners, their speech is often stylized in hiragana, so you'll often get the reading immediately after a kanji is introduced, so I found it particularly good for no furigana practice.
Overall I wouldn't have read them all if it wasn't a good series for language learning, but I did enjoy the time I spent with the characters.
