I really enjoyed this book, but from a difficulty perspective it's an odd one:

There are multiple genres represented in the book which stretches the vocab a lot. Additionally, many words are only relevant for the chapter they're in and never used after that.
A lot of alternative kanji are used, but they all get furigana on first use.
There is some particularly niche vocab and even grammar being used, but often in those cases one of the characters will rephrase it in a simpler manner or e
