A poetry book about love. Poems range from a couple verses to a page, and each one is accompanied by a drawing. The format of the prologue is slightly different from the rest, so if you're unsure about continuing, I recommend getting at least to the beginning of the first chapter, to give it a fair shot.
While these poems are small, they still manage to convey a lot of meaning. The accompanying drawings can help with understanding. Difficulty wise, vocabulary varies from poem to poem. Some I knew all, some I had to look up several words for just those few verses. The grammar points used are mostly intermediate, although the unfamiliar format can make understanding things more difficult. The biggest difficulty lies in the vocabulary, as many of the words used have double meanings (it makes figuring it out oh so much more satisfaying however).
Overall, I would say this is a good first foray into poetry. It's by no means easy, but it is easier I would say than a lot of modern/contemporary poetry (and certainly most older poetry).
