This book was a bit difficult for the kanji used but I know the story of videogames very well, so, I could guess, what it was written. I like the author talked about all the console and also the most important videogames of that era and consoles. It shows statistics, pie charts and percentages. It also mentioned recent things, like vr and the oculus, esports (it had various names in the past) and Japanese "e-sports", Game center cx (I watched his program on the internet and I miss his catchphrase 課長オーーン!!) and Pewdiepie. I'm sure I forgot other things but I really liked this book.
One thing I didn't like (it's a me thing) is the mobile game scene. It was interesting the Japanese one but I don't consider mobile games as real gaming like playing on ps5, xbox X and S, switch, pc and steam deck. I consider them as heavy microtransactions games.
