Since Toradora is a classic in the anime sphere, I thought why not take the opportunity to read the source material? I've only read volume 1, but I can easily see how much material was omitted from the animated series. The pacing feels great and not as rushed as the anime. If you enjoyed the anime and feel like getting a more in-depth version of the story, you will surely enjoy the light novel. Having watched the anime is in no way a prerequisite, however.
