This informal book club, started in the Wanikani forum, is dedicated to the newly-coined genre of ‘profoundly weird people trying desperately to be normal’. The characters in these books are keenly aware of being "different" and feel apart from the rest of society for whatever reason. They may try to fit in or embrace their uniqueness.
