While some of the vocab is on the more difficult side, and some is very specific to things such as art movements, schools or era contexted objects, the absolute majority of this book is made of pictures and very short text related to each picture.
Said short text will mostly describe what's in the picture while adding context and facts about the creator, the subjects in the picture, the era, etc.
In addition to that the text is purposely simple and humorous which makes it a read on the lighter side that allows some "in" to more cultural aspects about the Edo period.
