Complete furigana with some "katakana cool English" sometimes

Starts from mostly hiragana with some weird jumps in terminologies and slowly develops into proper words This allows you to get used to the words as a process instead of having to instantly dive into getting used to such a differenct structure

小説 金の国 水の国
Children's book
Level 20??

There's 3 varieties to this novel The manga, the novel and the junior novel addition

The one I'm talking about is the junior addition, which has furigana on everything and is purposely written in simple sentences and vocab

Very cute fairy tale like children story

Partial furigana, allows you to see a more complicated word with the furigana at first and then without which allows you to "learn and then implement"

魔女の宅急便 1
Children's book
Level 24

Simple language and vocab Very popular first book recommendation

While some of the vocab is on the more difficult side, and some is very specific to things such as art movements, schools or era contexted objects, the absolute majority of this book is made of pictures and very short text related to each picture.

Said short text will mostly describe what's in the picture while adding context and facts about the creator, the subjects in the picture, the era, etc.

In addition to that the text is purposely simple and humorous which makes it a read on the lighter side that allows some "in" to more cultural aspects about the Edo period.

A furigana version of ブラックジャックによろしく that includes a dictionary that includes even onomatopoeia, both in the end and in every page it is targeted towards Japanese learners and while it does not include explanations into grammar, it is a good "in" to getting used to reading in Japanese, expanding medical vocab, reading "exercises" of a sort and checking yourself while reading
