This is a collection of interviews of people who knew Hamasaki Ayumi before she was famous. It has some weird paparazzi tones from time to time, but is overall an okay read. It covers her career from the beginning to May 2000.
There are no furigana, and it only comes in paperback format.
In terms of level, it is a perfect N3 book, I saw no new grammar beyond the one I know and I haven't started studying for N2. The vocab is also very repetitive and easy to remember without Anki-ing anything.
