Nico comes from Spain, he gets his bags stolen in a airport in Germany while trying to visit his aunt. He faces the challenges of living in a country with a language he can’t speak while meeting new people and continuing on with the reason he first set out to go to Germany.

Nico's Weg is a great learning tool. Rather than watch the whole movie from start to finish, try the lessons at learngerman.dw.com. It breaks the story up into 1-2 minute segments and follows up with some language and culture explanations, and some exercises. The German level in the movie starts at A1 and gets progressively more difficult as the movie progresses.
