A good movie with lots of simple dialogue, but quite a fair amount of unique words that are tougher, but are not particularly important or hard to understand given the context. 人工衛星 and 観音様 in particular. I found Fujimoto to be a little difficult to follow, as well as one of the old ladies at the nursing home to be difficult to understand. The dialogue competes with the musical score in some parts, but it is nothing unusual.

Very cute movie
Here we see another great movie from Ghibli / Hayao Miyazaki with sea themes and heavily inspired by Andersen's "The Little Mermaid". Compared to other Ghibli movies, I feel this one has a more "infantile" feeling to it. The language used here is straightforward, possibly the easiest Ghibli movie, and it's overall a great movie for beginners.
