The week of the groundhog
This is a cool Japanese comedy that has an interesting drop of drama. Here we follow the story of a bunch of office workers at a marketing company stuck in a time loop, reliving the same unbearable week over and over. The movie is almost entirely set in the company office, and that's actually a good thing. We get to grasp the visual signs that they are stuck in the loop, such as the pigeon hitting the window every Monday, the boss sneezing, or the mail courier mistakenly delivering the package to the wrong place. As each loop repeats, more and more employees realize the situation, and they start a task force to stop the time loop. I won't go deeper to avoid spoilers, but I really liked the conclusion to this story. I was not expecting this more dramatic shift. As for language learning, this is also a good show, kind of everyday Japanese all the time.
