Fantastic Movie
As a caveat, I have not seen any other Godzilla movies. I really enjoyed this movie. It does a great job creating the feel of multiple era's of post-WW2 reconstruction Tokyo (specifically Ginza). Godzilla in this movie is a very horrifying creature capable of real destruction. I was impressed by how the film was able to create such high stakes. This is actually my first Gojira movie. Heard all the praise this movie got and decided to give it a go since it was on Netflix. Gojira is a massive creature filled with rage. It's crazy to watch this creature rampage across Tokyo, destroying everything in its path. Also, the death rays are a cinema marvel. The CGI team did a great job with that.
