A young man named Kengo Kosaka suffers from extreme mysophobia. Due to his compulsive disorder, he is unable to maintain a relationship with anyone. Kengo Kosaka is also a lonely young man. Meanwhile, high school student Hijiri Sanagi has scopophobia. Because of her fear of being stared at, she refuses to go to school. Both Kengo Kosaka and Hijiri Sanagi do not expect to find love with another person, but they meet and fall in love.

Parasite in Love
My mind screamed „bad movie“ all throughout the first fifth of the movie, but the longer I watched, the more it grew on me. As someone who has problems with mysophobia (luckily not nearly as bad as the protagonist), this was quite an interesting and fitting representation. I guess people who can‘t understand the struggle, would consider his reactions silly, or overacted, but they really aren‘t. The story itself isn‘t anything to write home about, but the characters are charming and the ending
